Imported Llamas of New Zealand
NZRegistry Number: (To be assigned)
Type:
Llama Guanaco
Llama/Guanaco Llama/Alpaca Lama
The offspring of a crossbred lama when bred back to a
'pure' llama for 4 generations, will then be considered back to 'pure' and
can be listed/registered as a llama.
Owner of Lama: Present legal
owner or last known legal owner.
Owner Code:
(administration purposes)
The Owner Code needs to be 4 or 5 letters and can be either an
abbreviation of your farm name, initials or combination. If you do not
submit one then one will be allocated to you.
Some examples of Owner
Codes: WCLF, RMLF, KARMA, PDLF.
NZLA members' Owner Codes are found below Members Names on
Membership page of this website.
Lama Name:
Any name beginning with a
letter or digit and having 35 or fewer characters (including punctuation
and spaces) is acceptable with the following conditions:
Names must differ by at least one letter from all other names in the
Database.
Names may not include or refer to owner codes, breeder prefix, ranch names
or personal names other than those of the breeder (owner of dam at
mating).
Names must include Breeder Prefix if known.
Alias: If this lama has
been known by another name. This does not include 'pet' names, just
previously registered or known as. If more than one previous alias, please
print on back.
Breeder Prefix: (Owner of Dam at
time of Mating)
Breeders are to
register a Prefix to be used in the listed/registered name of a lama they
bred. The Breeder Prefix is generally the breeder's farm name or
abbreviation of.
The Breeder Prefix will use up some of the 35 characters allotted for each
lama's name. Prefixes that are shorter will give you more leeway in
choosing the remainder of the name.
Some examples of Breeders' Prefixes: Windchime, Rangemore, Karma, Palmdale
